We have several new roles within the expanding professional services team and are looking for highly competent technical leads to join the team and support the continued growth of the business. The Technical Lead serves as the senior individual-contributor and technical guide for a delivery team responsible for implementing, operating and optimizing security and IT operations platforms (e.g., log management, SIEM, UEBA, , SOAR). They ensure that technical direction, architecture, standards and best practices are maintained, unblock the team, mentor engineers, liaise with stakeholders, and contribute hands-on as needed. Unlike a pure manager, this role remains deeply technical while also demonstrating leadership and cross-team influence.
Responsibilities
- Technical Direction & Architecture. Define and drive the technical architecture and solution approach for engagements (g., SIEM, Event Processing, and SOAR). Ensure chosen technology stacks, patterns, and system design align with business needs and future scalability.
- Hands-on Delivery & Oversight. Participate in major technical tasks (design reviews, code/config reviews, proof-of-concepts, escalated issue resolution) while monitoring team progress and code/operational quality.
- Mentoring & Team Enablement. Mentor less-senior engineers, lead code/config reviews, promote best practices (security, observability, performance), support team upskilling.
- Work Breakdown & Execution Planning. In partnership with project/program managers, break work into tasks/stories, help prioritize technical debt vs feature development, define iterations/sprints, track dependencies, and unblock the team.
- Stakeholder & Cross-Team Collaboration. Act as the technical interface between engineering, product/solution owners, operations teams, architecture teams, and client/managed-services stakeholders. Communicate technical decisions, risks, trade-offs, and progress.
- Quality, Standards & Risk Management. Establish and enforce coding/configuration standards, ensure system reliability, security and performance, identify and mitigate technical risks, manage technical debt.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation. Monitor emerging technologies relevant to the service stack (SIEM, Event Processing, virtualization, network security, etc.), propose improvements for the platform, service offerings, and operations.
Skills & Experience
- Deep experience with enterprise-scale platforms (for your case: SIEM/logging , UEBA, Event Processing, SOAR, etc).
- Architecture and design skills (systems integration, scale, performance, security).
- Hands-on technical capability (code/config review, debugging complex issues, performing root cause analysis).
- Familiarity with best practices: security, observability (monitoring/alerting/logging), operations, DevOps/CI-CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and trade-off evaluation skills (speed vs quality, short-term vs long-term).
Leadership & Interpersonal Skills
- Ability to lead technically without formal line management — “influence without authority”.
- Excellent communication (technical explanations, stakeholder management) and mentoring skills.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple streams and unblock the team.
- Strategic mindset: balancing delivery commitments with technical excellence and future-proofing the environment.
Experience & Qualifications
- Typically, 5+ years of professional experience in engineering roles, with at least 2-3 years in a senior/lead capacity.
- Proven track record of leading technical delivery, architecture design, and mentoring engineers.
- Certifications optional but beneficial (g., Splunk Certified Architect, Cloud certifications, Security certifications, PMP/Agile certification).
- Experience in the target domain (g., SIEM/logging services, managed service operations) is a strong plus.
