PMO Project Controller / Project Analyst

The PMO Project Controller / Project Analyst plays a critical role in establishing, stabilizing, and operationalizing the PMO. The role directly supports PMO governance, project/program visibility, data accuracy, standardized reporting, KPI tracking, and compliance with PMO standards ensuring the successful achievement of 2026 PMO operational and strategic KPIs and enabling the PMO to reach a “Defined and Measured” maturity level.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Portfolio Control

  • Monitor project performance against approved scope, schedule, cost, and quality baselines
  • Track milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues across projects
  • Support integrated planning and forecasting activities
  • Identify variances and trends, and escalate risks proactively

Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and executive-level project and program reports
  • Maintain PMO dashboards and KPIs (schedule, cost, delivery, benefits readiness)
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across PMO tools and reports
  • Provide analysis and insights to support decision-making and prioritization

Governance & Standards

  • Ensure projects comply with PMO methodologies, templates, and governance requirements
  • Support stage-gate reviews, audits, and governance forums
  • Assist in maintaining PMO standards, processes, and documentation
  • Maintain PMO KPIs and dashboards within approved PMO tools
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness across all reports
  • Support continuous improvement of PMO reporting and analytics

Tools & Data Management

  • Maintain and administer PMO tools.
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates from project managers
  • Support tool enhancements, automation, and continuous improvement

Stakeholder Support

  • Act as a trusted partner to Project Managers, Program Managers, and PMO leadership
  • Support onboarding and coaching of project teams on PMO standards and tools
  • Respond to ad-hoc data requests from executives and governance bodies

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in project controlling, project analysis, PMO support role.
  • Experience working in Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid delivery environments
  • Strong proficiency in PMO/PPM tools
  • Advanced Excel and reporting skills (Power BI experience is a plus)
  • Solid understanding of:
    • Project lifecycle management
    • Risk and issue management
    • Schedule and cost tracking
  • High attention to detail and data integrity

Preferred

  • Certification such as PMP, or similar.
